New Bethesda Christian Ministries Church Of God In Christ (C.O.G.I.C.) is a gathering of Christians located in Villa Rica, GA. This ministry is served by... Pastor Johnnie Porter M. Div, M.A.C.M. & Mrs. Robyn Porter.
We hope that you will stop by and worship with us if you are in the area. This site is designed to give you information about our church, our members and our staff as well as provide you with information on how to contact us.
We want to meet you where you are and hopefully help you grow in a meaningful relationship with God, through Jesus. We are people who struggle and hurt as we face the daily pressures of life. We are also people who are experiencing the life and joy of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. We would like nothing more than to have you join us as we seek, learn, and grow together in our spiritual walks with God. Who are we? New Bethesda Christian Ministries is a distinguished church ministry that is community impacting, while promoting family, faith and restoration. Bethesda means "House of Mercy", which is why we exist. Many Christian believers have been broken and wounded in spirit by the very thing that is to provide healing. Servants of this ministry are healed helpers Divinely inspired to be effective kingdom builders of God through Jesus Christ, by touching the lives of all created of God….
Origin of Ministry? Our minstry was initiated by word found in John 5:1-8. There reads the story of a disabled man in need of healing, but only after Jesus comes to the Pool of Bethesda, does this man experience healing. In reading this story, it became clear that for thirty-eight years; there lied this man at the pool of Bethesda, with many needs, excuses and failed attempts to be the first person to reach the healing waters of the pool. For the pool would be devinely visited once a year by an angel. For whoever reached the pool first, would be healed. But noticed that for these same thirty-eight years, people selfishly passed him by. And they did very little to help or restore him. It was only until Jesus that a difference in this man's life came.
This ministry seeks: to acknowledge spiritual and physical wounds of God's people. We seek not to give silver or gold, but such as we have we offer it. For what we have to offer is hope in the Word of God, entrusted to us through the sacrifice and love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We are a Holy Ghost Led Ministry... anointed to restore God's people back to Him through Christian fellowship, the Holy Word, and the spirit of love.
